The concept of speed

When time is the only opponent to beat, every detail counts. You need your head, your legs and a bike that converts all your energy into speed.

The body, leaning forward. The gaze that meets the horizon on the line of the handlebar attachments. The legs that pedal. Man and bike: a dynamic symbiosis. As speed increases, the aerodynamic flow becomes heavier and heavier. Turbine SLR uses the cyclist's kinetic energy and converts it into mechanical energy.

The middle and rear part of the frame is slimmer than on the previous product generation.

The result? The frame is a whole 300 g lighter. And less weight means better acceleration with every pedal stroke.

Turbine SLR is the flagship of the Wilier Innovation Lab. CFD simulations, wind tunnel, velodrome and road tests, right up to the debut of the prototype in the individual time trial in Budapest at the Giro d'Italia 2022 alongside the Astana team.
